DIY Fabric Flower Pins

I was looking at our budget and thought where we could cut corners on. Then I thought floral. I’m not too big on flowers and my fiancé made a good point to me at the beginning of our relationship that what’s the point of paying so much, when they eventually die out. So I thought of alternative ways to cut down on flowers. In my early wedding research, I found that fabric flowers were all the rage. So I’ve been researching high and low for DIY tutorials on different flowers and what was easier for me to assemble. I found this site to be pretty basic and easy to do Fabric flower tutorial.

Here’s how mine turned out.

The process didn’t take too long to create one. Because I made a TON of fabric flowers, the prep work took the longest. All the tracing, cutting and sewing the ends took most of the time, but once you get into the groove you can complete a ton. I spent a good weekend getting most of them done and what a nice alternative to wear a boutonniere. They can keep this forever and add it their bags or jackets.
